Business Name & Logo Design, supported by Branding Concepts

CULAIST logo

PROJECT OVERVIEW

Development of the Cùlaist name and brand identity for a potential visitor space at NCB’s whisky barrel storage site. The concept positioned an existing outbuilding as a more considered customer-facing environment, rooted in place, heritage and whisky experience.

What makes great branding?

WHAT WE HAD TO WORK WITH:

A working whisky bond site with an outbuilding identified for potential visitor use. Local landscape references, including the Striding Arches, and the forms of whisky barrels.

DELIVERABLES:

  • Research and presentation of Company Names for client review.
  • Logo design inspired by artist Andy Goldsworthy’s.
  • Striding Arches and barrel forms Initial brand presentation, visual identity concepts and creative direction for future interior branding.
  • The logo presentation introduced ‘Cùlaist’ as meaning traditionally ‘the best room’ or ‘parlour’ in Scottish Gaelic, and explored a brand mark using the arch or barrel shape within the “A”, with potential to use this as a standalone brand device.

“Full Circle Graphics supported us with the development of the Cùlaist brand concept for New Cample Bond, helping to shape an early-stage idea into a distinctive identity with a strong sense of place. Their work brought together local inspiration, whisky heritage and visitor experience in a clear and creative way. The team were extremely creative, responsive and easy to work with throughout. We look forward to developing this brand going forward.”
